So this past Halloween weekend was the Long Beach Comic-Con... It's a great show, this was it's second year so there is still lots of room to grow and get better!!
I just want to give a big thanks to all those who stopped by my table to check out my stuff!! One of the reasons I love doing shows is the opportunity to meet people and share what I do with others who share my enthusiasm with comics, art, movies, and animation...
Here are 2 of my most recent illustrations I had made for the show...
PS- For those of you out there with 3D Red and cyan glasses, the Kratos illo is 3D!!

Sketch Card Commissions
For the past few years now, I've had the privilege of participating in various sketch card series for Topps and Upper Deck... I've worked on series based on Heroes, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Iron Man 2, as well as a few others.
Sketch cards are a great way for me to get away from the computer for a bit and exercise my traditional illustration skills... From time to time I take on commissions from people either via online or at comic book conventions. Here are 2 recent commissions originally requested way back in July at Comic-Con...

Belive it or not...I'm walkin on air...
Superhero shows were hard to come by up until a few years ago...Even more so when I was a kid. So when one did show up, I was in..hook, line and sinker...
One such show was the Greatest American Hero. I'm not sure if it was the premise or the theme song, but I loved this goofy show. There had been a lot of chatter of a big screen version of this show, so I thought I would illustrate who I thought would make a perfect Ralph Hinkley and Bill Maxwell. None other than the Wedding Crashers themselves, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Vaughn...
Don't know if you any of you fans remember the running gag of Bill eating milkbone dog biscuits throughout the show, but I thought it would make for a funny prop in this illo...

The Herculoids!!
Alex Toth was a major part of my childhood...From the Herculoids to Superfriends, his character designs are timeless and inspiring...
Scott Pilgrim+Foodies+Us=Lovechub
So my girlfriend and I saw Scott pilgrim a few weeks ago and loved it...I really dig Bryan Lee O'Malley's art style..We are also really big foodies as well...We have found a lot of great places to eat on Yelp (and some not so great }:-P ) So I created this illustration for my girlfriend to use for her newly formed Yelp profile dubbed...LOVECHUB!!!

Sketchbook Peek
I always lived for Saturday morning cartoons... Without fail, you could find me in front of the TV bright and early waiting for the animated goodness to begin... To this day all those characters I watched still are a big part of who I am today as an artist!!
Here's a sketchbook scribble of one of those great shows, Thundarr the Barbarian. His character was so hot headed and impulsive, he made me think (even as a 5/6 year old) "this guy should think things through"...LOL

More Lil Masters!!
I am a true child of the 80's... From toys to animation, I was sold...It may not be as sophisticated and edgy as some of the shows kids watch today, one thing it was above all though, and that was FUN!!! I loved it all from the wacky and unique character designs to the back stories... From He-Man to Thundercats...Ahh memories!!!
Plan to see more characters on this blog in the future!!!

Testing...testing...123
Hey there...trying to do some mobile blogging...Since I carry my sketchbook around with me everywhere, I thought this would be a nice way to share with everybody what I doodle when I'm out and about...
A "Lil" something, something...
So I'm not sure if I would consider it my thing, but I really like drawings in the Chibi or "lil" style... Kind of like kid versions of characters...
First post of my blog!!!
Hi there folks!!!
I thought it was about time to start a blog to post all the random and not so random stuff I draw on a day to day basis...
A big thanks to all of you for stopping by and checking out my work!!
For my first posts, I want to share a couple of character redesigns I submitted for the site Project:Rooftop. They had a section titled Heroes In Need where the different writers posted their lists of characters they would like to see get a redesign...
The characters I've done were ones I've always wanted to play around with just for myself so P:R was a great catalyst to actually getting them done!!
Hope you like them!!
